Francesco E. Fumero, a qualified engineer, began working in the field of patents in the early 1900s, when he was still editor of the magazine L’Elettricità. At first he managed a section of the magazine that dealt with the new inventions patented in the electric machinery sector, then he hosted a “special editorial column” in which he provided copies of patents and specific advice. The first documents that prove the existence of a structured, organised consultancy firm date back to the year 1912.
