Fumero, a qualified engineer, began working in the field of patents in the early 1900s, when he was still editor of the magazine L\u2019Elettricit\u00e0. At first he managed a section of the magazine that dealt with the new inventions patented in the electric machinery sector, then he hosted a \u201cspecial editorial column\u201d in which he provided copies of patents and specific advice.
